Intended Use
The rechargeable battery-operated soldering iron can be used to solder electronic components
without the hassle of a cable. Charging time takes approx. 3 to 4 hours depending on the
rechargeable battery charge state. The soldering iron lights up the soldering surface when the
on/off switch is pressed. The soldering tip reaches a temperature of approx. 450 °C.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in
bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use
the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In
addition, improper use can result in short circuits, fires, electric shocks or other hazards. Read
the instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third
parties only together with its operating instructions.

Safety Instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information
on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
a) General Information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, steam and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed
if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• For installations in industrial facilities, follow the accident prevention regulations
for electrical systems and equipment of the government safety organization or the
corresponding authority for your country.
• Check the product for damage before each use. In case of obvious damage, do
not use the product anymore. Disconnect the power supply and remove the mains
plug from the socket. Then have the product checked by a specialist shop.
• Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or put objects filled with liquid
right next to the device. If liquid or an object enters the interior of the device
nevertheless, first power down the respective socket (e.g. switch off circuit
breaker) and then pull the mains plug from the mains socket. Do not operate the
product anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.

• Operating instructions
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into
a warm one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. The power
supply unit also involves danger to life by electric shock! Allow the device to reach
room temperature before connecting and using it. This may take several hours.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• As power supply, only use the supplied mains adapter.
• Never connect or disconnect chargers if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the charger from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always
use the grips on the plug.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is not pinched, kinked or
damaged by sharp edges.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them.
This poses a risk of injury.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the charger from the mains socket during storms.
• Caution, risk of burning! The soldering tip becomes very hot. Do touch it.
• Always allow the soldering iron to cool down to room temperature on a heat-
resistant surface after use.
• Do not inhale any vapours. Vapours are harmful. Only work with a flue.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the
appliance.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must only be completed by a technician
or an authorised repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) Connected devices
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are
connected to the product.
c) Rechargeable Batteries
• The rechargeable battery is permanently built into the product and cannot be
replaced.
• Never damage the rechargeable battery. Damaging the casing of the rechargeable
battery might cause an explosion or a fire!
• Never short-circuit the contacts of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw
the rechargeable battery or the product into fire. There is a danger of fire and
explosion!
• Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you are not using the product.
Due to the rechargeable battery technology being used, you do not need to
discharge the rechargeable battery first.
• Never charge the rechargeable battery of the product unattended.
• When charging, place the product on a surface that is not heat-sensitive. It is
normal that a certain amount of heat is generated during charging.
Operation

a) Charging the Rechargeable Battery
1 Place the charging station on a clean, even, secure, stable and heat-resistant working
surface.
2 Insert the correct end of the soldering iron into the charging station. The on/off switch must
be switched to 0 (off).
3 Connect the charger's round plug to the charging station's connection socket.
4 Connect the charger's power plug to a suitable power outlet. The LED on the charger lights
up red to indicate the rechargeable battery-operated soldering iron is charging. Charging
takes approx. 3-4 hours depending on the charge state of the rechargeable battery. The
LED on the charger lights up green when the rechargeable battery is fully charged.
5 Unplug the charger's power plug from the power outlet.
b) Handling
1 Remove the soldering iron from the charging station. Switch the on/off switch to I to unlock
the soldering iron.
2 Press the on/off switch to heat up the soldering tip. The tip takes about 15-25 seconds to
heat up. To solder, hold the soldering iron like a pencil while pressing the on/off switch. The
red power indicator by the on/off switch and the white working light near the soldering tip
light up. The soldering tip is heated as long as you press the on/off switch.
3 Release the on/off switch during short pauses while soldering. During longer pauses, switch
the on/off switch to 0.
4 Place the soldering iron on a heat-resistant surface while it is cooling down.
5 After the product has cooled down to room temperature, replace it on the charging station.
Observe the correct position of soldering tip and contacts.
