Additional Safety Information for Mixing Power Tools
• This tool is designed for mixing water-based liquids with powdered building materials including,
but not limited to, dispersion thin set, sealing and levelling compounds, cement, grout, textured
coatings, etc.
• With the correct accessory attached, this tool may be used to blend paints, varnish, resins and
other coatings
• This tool is NOT intended to be used with dusty compounds such as graphite, or with salt
solutions, corrosive agents or liquid manure
• This product does NOT satisfy food hygiene standards and is NOT to be used for preparing
foodstuff or as a kitchen appliance
• Always use the CORRECT mixing paddle or accessory for the material being mixed. Working
with an incorrect accessory might overload the tool and lead to spillage, insufficient blending
or personal injury
• Always inspect the power cord and connector before use. If you locate any damage, have the cord
replaced by a qualified electrician before attempting to use the tool
• Before use, check the accessories are safely installed
• NEVER use the tool in damp or wet locations. If the tool gets wet, ensure it is disconnected from
the power supply and ensures it dries COMPLETELY before further use
• ALWAYS position yourself securely, maintain sure-footing and operate the tool with BOTH hands
• DO NOT attempt to mount the tool on a stand or tripod. NEVER leave the tool running unattended
• Unplug the tool from the mains power supply after EVERY use, to avoid accidental switch-on
• Always route the power cord towards the rear of the operator, AWAY from the tool and work area.
Ensure that the cable does not present a tripping hazard for the operator and other people in
the vicinity
• If you are using this tool with an extension lead, always unwind the cable completely.

Intended Use
Low speed mixing drill for mixing multi-finish plaster, textures, floor paints and coatings and
medium duty drilling of wood and metal
Unpacking Your Product
• Carefully unpack and inspect your product. Fully familiarise yourself with all its features and
functions
• Ensure all parts of the product are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or
damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this product

Before Use
WARNING: Ensure the tool is disconnected from the power supply before attaching or
changing any accessories, or making any adjustments.
WARNING: Always use this tool with the Auxiliary Handle (2) and D-Handle (3) fitted. Using
without the Handles fitted may result in personal injury
Installing the Auxiliary Handle
• Screw the Auxiliary Handle (2) clockwise into the drill and tighten by hand (Fig. I)
Installing the D-Handle
See Fig. II
• Remove the 13mm hex bolt from the end of the drill using a suitable spanner (not supplied)
• Thread the 13mm hex bolt through the hole on the D-Handle
• Select the position at which the Handle is to be attached, locating the Handle on the 8 point
spline of the drill
• Attach the Handle to the drill tightening the 13mm hex bolt in a clockwise direction
• Ensure the Handle is secure
Note: DO NOT overtighten the 13mm hex bolt as this may damage the tool.
Operating the Keyed Chuck
• The Chuck Jaws (10) can be opened and closed using the Chuck Key (12) and Chuck Collar (1)
• To close the Jaws rotate the Chuck Collar clockwise (Fig. III)
• To open the Jaws rotate the Chuck Collar anti clockwise (Fig. III)
• The Chuck Key should be used to tighten and release the Jaws by inserting the Key into the
Chuck Key Slot (11) and turning the Key in the corresponding direction (Fig. IV)
• DO NOT open or close the Chuck using the drill, this will damage the tool
• ALWAYS ensure that the Chuck Key is removed from the Chuck before operating
Installing accessories in the Keyed Chuck
• Open the Chuck Jaws (10) fully (see 'Operating the Keyed Chuck')
• Fully insert the accessory centrally into the Chuck
• Tighten the Chuck Collar by hand until it the Jaws grip the accessory
• Use the Chuck Key to tighten the Chuck
• Remove the Chuck Key and run the tool (see 'Operation') to check that the accessory is located
and does not wobble
• If the accessory is not located centrally repeat the installation procedure
Operation
WARNING: ALWAYS wear eye protection, adequate respiratory and hearing protection, as well
as suitable gloves, when working with this tool.
Direction control
WARNING: NEVER change the direction of rotation while the tool is running. This may cause
permanent damage to the tool.
• The direction of rotation can be set using the Forward/Reverse Switch (6)
• Slide the Switch to the required position (Fig. V)
Adjusting tool speed
WARNING: NEVER adjust the tool speed while the tool is running. This may cause permanent
damage to the tool.
• The speed of the tool can be varied between 0-800rpm
• To adjust the tool speed, rotate the Variable Speed Control Dial clockwise to increase the speed
and anticlockwise to decrease the speed (Fig. VI)
Note: When the tool speed is set to low speed, the Trigger Switch will not fully depress. This is
normal and not a fault with the tool.
Switching ON & OFF
• To start the drill squeeze the ON/OFF Trigger Switch (8) (Fig. VII)
• To stop the drill release the ON/OFF Trigger Switch
Note: This tool features a lock ON mechanism, which allows the tool to be used without having to
constantly squeeze the ON/OFF Trigger Switch to operate.
To activate the lock ON mechanism:
1. Squeeze the ON/OFF Trigger
2. Simultaneously press the Lock ON Button (7) (Fig. VIII)
3. Release the Trigger followed by the Lock ON Button
4. When the Trigger is now released it will remain in the ON position
To deactivate the lock ON mechanism, squeeze and release the ON/OFF Trigger
