Risk of injuries from components coming loose or leaking
material.
The air micrometer may shoot out of the spray gun in an uncontrolled
manner.
→ When screwing in the locking screw, ensure the air micrometer is
correctly aligned.
→ Check the locking screw for tight fit.
■ Screw in new seal retainer [14-1] using Allen key [14-2] (size 4).
■ Grease new air piston rod [13-4] using SATA high-performance grease
(Art. No. 48173) and insert. Check correct installation direction.
■ Insert new air piston spring [13-1] and air piston head [13-3].
■ Grease new air micrometer [13-2] using SATA high-performance grease
(Art. No. 48173) and insert. Check correct installation direction.
■ Firmly screw in locking screw [12-1] using the original Allen key [12-2].
■ Proceed with steps to "Install new trigger guard (see chapter 10.3).
■ Proceed with the steps to "Mount new pre-nozzle, hard metal ball tip
and paint needle" and "Mount new material nozzle" (see chapter 10.1).
10.6. Replacing spindles of round/flat fan control
Dismantle spindle
■ Unscrew countersunk screw [15-1] using Allen key.
■ Remove control knob [15-2].
■ Unscrew spindle [15-3] using SATA universal spanner (size 12).
Mount new spindle
■ Screw in new spindle [15-3] using SATA universal spanner (size 12).
■ Position control knob [15-2].
■ Secure countersunk screw [15-1] with Loctite 242 and hand-tighten it
using SATA Combi-Tool.
