• Make sure that the input level (LEVEL parameter) is adjusted correctly
(see page 29).
• The tone of the input sound may have been adjusted (TONE parame‐
ter) (see page 29).
No input sound is heard.
• Make sure the input level is set correctly (see page 29).
• Is the recorder in Record Ready mode or Record mode?
• Make sure that all devices are connected correctly (see page 14).
• If you are using a Plug‐In‐Power compatible microphone, set the P‐IN‐
PWER parameter to ON (see page 30).
• Make sure that the volume level of the connected external device is set
correctly.
• The REC parameter in the RHYTHM category may have been set to
ON (see page 34).
• Make sure that the MIX BAL parameter is set properly (see page 32).
• The VOLUME parameter may have been set to "0" (see page 43).
Cannot record.
• Make sure that the input level is set correctly (see page 29).
• Have you inserted a memory card?
• The memory card may not have sufficient free space (see page 38).
• The REC parameter in the RHYTHM category may have been set to
ON (see page 34).
• Make sure that the MIX BAL parameter is set properly (see page 32).
Recorded sound is interrupted.
• The recorder was exposed to an impact during recording.
• The batteries may have been exhausted during recording.
The unit does not start properly.
• The contents of the memory card may be incorrect.
• The unit was unable to recognize the memory card.
In this case, turn on the power to the recorder while pressing and hold‐
ing down the Record button and the MENU button simultaneously to
force the unit to format the installed memory card. If the unit still does
not start correctly after you format the memory card, the memory card
or the recorder may be damaged. Try using another memory card and
restarting the unit. If the problem persists, consult the Korg dealer
from whom you purchased the unit.
Formatting a memory card will erase all data on the card.
