1.1
General safety instructions
Before using this product, carefully read these instructions for use and those
of the associated products.
Strictly follow the instructions for use. The user must fully understand and
strictly observe the instructions. Use the product only for the purposes
specified in the intended use section of this document.
Do not dispose of the instructions for use. Ensure that they are retained and
appropriately used by the product user.
Only trained and competent users are permitted to use and check this
product.
Comply with all local and national rules and regulations associated with this
product.
Do not use a faulty or incomplete product. Do not modify the product.
Notify Dräger in the event of any component fault or failure.

2.1
Explanation of warning notices
The following warning notices are used in this document to draw the attention of
the user to possible dangers. The warning notices are defined as follows:

Principles of operation
3.1
Feature description
The chemical protective suits are certified as Category III personal protective
clothing.
The one-piece chemical protective suit is equipped with a chin flap and elastic
drawstrings at the hood, wrists and ankles. The zip runs vertically down the front
and is protected by a double cover flap. The inside of the chemical protective
suit has an antistatic treatment and provides protection against electrostatic
charges.
Depending on the application, the user must also wear suitable protective
boots, chemical protective gloves and breathing apparatus.
3.2
Intended use
The chemical protective suit protects the wearer against organic and inorganic
fluids, radioactive contamination and against viruses and bacteria. It also
protects against incorporation of radioactive particles.
The chemical protective suit can also be used if sensitive products must be
protected against contamination caused by humans.
Version with hook-and-loop fastener
The chemical protective suit is intended for limited use. It may only be used a
second time if it is not damaged or contaminated. The use must also be
acceptable from a hygienic standpoint. The chemical protective suit cannot be
cleaned and sterilised again.
Version with self-adhesive tape
The chemical protective suit is intended for single use.

Consequences of non-observance
Indicates a potentially hazardous situa-
tion. If not avoided, it could result in
death or serious injury.

alert against unsafe practices.
3.3
Limitations on use
The chemical protective suit should not be exposed to substances in higher
concentrations than tested. Substances with higher concentrations require
other protective clothing.
Exposure to hazardous biological substances that do not comply with the
tightness of the suit can cause biocontamination of the wearer. For information
on mechanical and chemical resistance, as well as temperature resistance (see
"Resistance of the suit material", page 8).
Avoid heat and naked flame. The chemical protective suit is not suitable for fire
fighting. For permissible application temperatures (see "General", page 7). The
chemical protective suit does not offer any protection against radiation from
radioactive particles or against radiation damage.
3.4
Approvals
The chemical protective suit is approved in accordance with:
EN 14605:2005+A1:2009 (Type 3B and 4B protective clothing)
EN ISO 13982-1:2004+A1:2010 (Type 5B protective clothing)
EN 13034:2005+A1:2009 (Type 6B protective clothing)
EN 1073-2:2002 (Protective clothing against radioactive contamination,
IL: Class 3, nominal protection factor 500)
EN 1149-5: 2018 (Protective clothing - electrostatic properties)

Type-identifying marking
The type-identical identification marking can be found in the head cover of the
chemical protective suit.

Use
4.1
Prerequisites for use
The environmental impact must be determined prior to use, since the suitability
of the chemical protective suit must be determined before its use. The chemical
protective suit must only be used for suitable purposes.
