OPERATION
WARNING! Always wear eye and ear protection, long trousers and closed
toe shoes when operating the wood chipper.
Cuttings are fed into the feed hopper (D). Rotating blades reduce the stalks
or branches into fragments. The chipped material is pushed out through the
discharge chute (D) at the front of the chipper. The discharge chute flap (A)
will deflect the chips downward.
The discharge chute can become clogged due to moist or excessive
amounts of chipped material. This may prevent proper discharge and can
result in kickback of material through the feed intake opening. Turn the
chipper off and clear the excess material from the chute using a wooden tool
or branch. Do not place your hands or foot within the chipper at any time.
PREPARING THE CHIPPER
NOTICE! The engine is not shipped with oil. Before starting the engine, add
oil according to the instructions in this manual. Starting the engine without
oil will damage the engine beyond repair. Consult the engine manual.
1.
Check all screws, bolts and nuts before each use. Tighten them if they
are loose. The chipper vibrates and may shake the bolts loose during
normal operation.
