1.
Use the correct tool for the job. This tool was designed for a specific
function. Do not modify or alter this tool or use it for an unintended purpose.
2.
Do not use the tool if any parts are damage broken or misplaced. Repair
or replace the parts.
3.
All users must understand the operation of all controls and learn how to
stop the engine quickly in case of emergency.
4.
Never allow anyone to operate this machine without proper instructions.
5.
Do not put anything that is not a branch in the opening of the machine.
a.
Check that the branches do not contain foreign objects such as
nails or wire before chipping.
b.
Do not attempt to chip a branch that is larger than the diameter of
the feed hopper (see Specifications).
c.
Do not use metal tools to push material into the chipper. A metal
tool may catch the internal mechanism and damage the chipper.
6.
Never remove the protective cover on the hopper or discharge chute
while the machine is operating. Flying chips are hazardous.
7.
Do not place metal, stone or any non-wood item on the hopper's flap as
it will slide into the machine and damage the internal mechanism.
8.
Never use the machine on a slope or hard smooth floor. Keep the
machine on stable ground and check that it does not wobble or move
while operating.
9.
Examine the machine before each use to ensure it's in good condition.
Check that all screws, nuts and other fasteners are properly secure.
