1) INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
2) Thermal disinfection system for sanitary hot water installations
3) PRECAUTIONS FOR USE (The product guarantee depends on compliance with these instructions)
ASSEMBLY AND USE
For products delivered with filters, these must be installed in accordance with the instructions.
Before commissioning any of our valves, it is essential to carefully drain the pipes that can damage the mechanisms or water passages
(PRESTO® heads that can be dismantled from front).
CLEANING
The chrome-plated coating of PRESTO® valves must be cleaned only with soapy water.
Abrasive, acid, alkaline or ammonia-based household products are prohibited.
4) 1 USE
This system is designed to prevent and eliminate potential development of legionellosis in mixed water catchment points (40 °C).
The techniques used are thermal shock and/or regular rinsing of the installation to prevent water stagnation.
Thermal shock is performed for injecting hot water in the cold water system of catchment points (ideally 70°C) and the flow is automatically
managed by the system. A drain operation is also integrated to lower the temperature of catchment points in order to eliminate any risk of
burns after the disinfection cycle.

5) 1.1 THERMAL SHOCK:
For information, a thermal disinfection according to the "hot water" decree of 30 November 2005 is ensured by preheating:
60 min at 60°C
or 4 min at 65°C
or 2 min >= 70°C
These values can be adapted according to the installation. The disinfection and bleeding time flow are controlled by two time-flow relays
present in the control unit.
So that thermal shocks are as short as possible it is essential that the hot water temperature reaches at least 70 °C at the last catchment
point for several minutes.
The shock is activated through a key-operated switch on the control unit.
1.2 AUTOMATIC RINSING:
The automatic rinsing is not controlled by the control unit. However, it can be setup on the catchment points through sensitive buttons (see
"PLP shower panel" installation instructions).
1.3 SAFETY:
Thermal shocks must be performed by a competent person. All injuries relating to the activation of the system will be his own
responsibility. In case of a power failure, the system enables a mechanical return to the normal operating position (bypass off) and stops the
flow of the catchment points.
