9.9.4 Cleaning
If the battery terminals are coated with oxide, they
should be cleaned.
Clean the battery terminals with a wire brush and
lubricate them with terminal grease.
9.10 AIR FILTER, ENGINE

with the machine.
9.10.1
Cleaning / Replacement (30)
For the frequency of this intervention
see chapter 13.
NOTE! The filters should be cleaned/re-
placed more often if the machine opera-
tes on very dusty ground.
Remove/install the air filters as follows:
1. Clean the area around the filter cover (30:A).
2. Open the cover (30:A) by unscrewing the
opening k nob (30:B).
3. Remove the filter element (30:C + 30:D).
4. Remove the sponge pre-filter (30:D) from the 
cartridge (30:C).
5. Tap the cartridge (30:C) on a solid surface
and blow with compressed air from the inside
to remove dust and debris.
6. Wash the sponge pre-filter (30:D) with water 
and detergent and leave it to dry in the air.
7. Clean any dust and debris from the inside of
the filter housing (30:E) taking care to close 
the intake duct with a rag (30:F) to prevent
foreign bodies entering the engine.
8. Remove the rag (30:F), refit the filter element 
(30:D + 30:C) in its housing and refit the co-
ver (30:A).

Replace the spark plug

Before removing the spark plug, clean around its
mounting.
For the type of spark plug and relative spark gap,
please refer to "0 TECHNICAL DATA TABLE".

10 ASSISTANCE AND REPAIRS
This manual provides all the necessary infor-
mation to run the machine and for correct basic
maintenance operations which can be performed
by the user.
Any regulations and maintenance operations not
described herein must be carried out by your De-
aler or Authorized Service Centre, which have the
necessary knowledge and equipment to ensure
that the work is carried out correctly, maintaining
the correct degree of safety and the original opera-
ting conditions of the machine.
4 grease nipples
Use a grease nipple filled 
with multi-purpose grease.
Pump until the grease
seeps out.
Brush the chain clean
with a wire brush.
Lubricate with universal
chain spray.
Lubricate the support
points with oil
when each control is
activated.
Ideally this operation
