(Translation of the Original Instructions)
•
Clean the area around the filter and
dismantle the filter.
•
Smear the gasket on the new filter with oil.
•
Install the filter. First screw in the filter so
that the gasket comes into contact with the
engine. Then screw in the filter a further
1/2-3/4 turn.

CHECKING/TOPPING
TRANSMISSION FLUID [4WD]
For the frequency of this intervention
see chapter 13.
For the type and quantities of fluid re-
quired, please refer to "0 TECHNICAL
DATA TABLE".
9.6.1 Check/top-up (24)
1. Place the machine on a flat surface.
2. Read the fluid level in the reservoir (24:A).
The level should match the line.
3. Top up if necessary.
9.6.2 Change
Drain off the fluid
1. Run the machine at variable speeds for 10-
20 minutes to heat up the transmission fluid.
2. Place the machine on a flat surface.
3. Put the parking brake on.
4. Take the disengagement levers to position
A1 - B1 as illustrated in fig.(14:A; 14:B).
5. Place a container under the rear axle and
another one under the front axle.
6. Open the bonnet and remove the plug on the
fluid reservoir.
Only a 3/8" square drive may be used
for the oil plug. Other tools may damage
the plug.
7. Remove the fluid drain plug from the rear
axle (25:A).
8. Remove the 2 drain plugs on the front axle.
Use a 12 mm tubular wrench. Allow the fluid
in the front axle and pipes to drain out (26).
9. Check that the gaskets on the drain plugs
of the front axle are intact (26). Replace the
plugs. Tightening torque: 15-17 Nm.
10. Check that the gasket on the drain plug of
the rear axle is intact (25:A). Replace the
plug in the rear axle. Tighten the drain plug to
a torque of 5 Nm.
