Proper use of the product
The bicycle carrier attachment Poker is used for the upright transport a bicycle on the roof rack of a car.
This device is not intended to be used by children and persons with limited mental abilities or without proper experience and/or knowledge required to operate the device.
Keep children away from the device.
The device is not designated for commercial use.
Intended use also includes observation of all information in this manual, in particular the safety instruction. Any other use is considered to be improper and may result in
damage or injury. The EAL GmbH assumes no liability for damages caused by improper use.

Safety guidelines
• Keep children away from and do not let children operate this device!
• Only use this product as intended!
• Do not manipulate or dismantle the device!
• For your own safety, only use accessories and spare parts that are stated in these instructions or are recommended by the manufacturer!
• Never exceed the permissible roof load of your vehicle. Refer to the operating manual of your car or ask the vehicle manufacturer.
• Please note that the handling of your vehicle changes significantly due to crosswinds and while braking and driving through curves. Adjust your driving style accordingly.
• Remove all loose parts, such as air pump, batteries of electric bicycles, water bottles, battery lights, navigation equipment, bicycle computer, tool bags or baskets from
before driving.
• Remove all bags from the bicycle before starting your trip.
• Do not use protective covers for the bicycle during the trip.
• Please note the greater height of your vehicle when a bicycle is mounted on the roof, especially when driving on avenues, through tunnels, in underground parking
garages and public parking complexes.
• Before each trip, check whether the roof rack, the bicycle rack and the bicycle are mounted securely.
• After a short drive check the load on the roof to make sure everything is secure and then again at regular intervals.
• Remove the bicycle carrier attachment for road safety reasons from the roof of your car.
• Never drive faster than 130 km/h when the bicycle carrier attachment is installed on your car.
Operating instructions
Assembly of the bicycle carrier attachment:
The bicycle carrier attachment is delivered unassembled. Take all of the components out of the package and place them down in an orderly fashion. Make sure the delivery
package is complete. Each step of the work process is clearly described and shows which components are needed for assembly of the bicycle carrier attachment.

Insert the carriage bolt from the outside through one of the bars of the holding bra-
cket.
Insert these components in the following order onto the carriage bolt: washer, screw
spring, and another washer. Press the screw springs together and insert the carriage
bolt through the borehole of the other bar on the retaining bracket. Push the two
bars together until the threads of the carriage screw protrudes approx. 15 mm from
the bar. Place the third washer onto the carriage screw and then screw the knob nut
onto the thread.
