pins are included. Apply lubricant in the shaft
before fitting the new shear pins.
IMPORTANT:
Never replace the shear pins with anything
other than identical shear pins from the
manufacturer. Any damage incurred if other
components are used is not covered by the
warranty.
Drive and gear mechanism
Lubricate once a year, or after every 25 working
hours. Remove the rear cover and lubricate the
chains, sprockets, bearings, shafts and gear
components at least once per season with
engine oil or lubricating spray. Keep the tyres
and aluminium belt pulleys free from grease
and oil.
Control handle, ejector unit
Lubricate the worm gear to set the ejection
angle with a suitable grease.
Drive belt
When replacing the drive belt the skid shoes
should be removed before removing the
casing.
Shave plate and skid shoes
Check the shave plate and skid shoes for wear,
and replace if necessary.
STORAGE
Follow the instructions below if the snowblower
is not going to be used for at least 30 days.
1.
Empty the carburettor and fuel tank
to prevent deposits forming in the fuel
system.

2.
Run the engine until the fuel tank is
empty and the engine stops due to a
shortage of fuel.
3.
Change the engine oil.
4.
Remove the spark plug and pour two
tablespoons of engine oil into the cylinder
through the spark plug hole. Cover the
spark plug hole with a cloth and turn over
the engine by pulling the starter cord
several times to distribute the oil. Replace
the spark plug.
5.
Clean the engine and the area around the
muffler.
6.
Rub all bare metal surfaces with an oily
cloth to prevent corrosion.
7.
Follow the lubricating instructions in the
maintenance section.
8.
Store the snowblower in a dry and safe
place.
WARNING!
•
Never store the snowblower or fuel
container indoors where there are
sources of heat, such as a boiler, water
heater, tumble drier and electric motors
that could emit sparks, in order to avoid
the risk of the ignition of fuel vapour.
Tilting the engine can cause fuel and/or
oil to leak.
•
Allow the engine to cool and drain the
fuel into a suitable container. Work
outdoors, at a safe distance from any
sources of heat. Allow the engine to
cool. Store and handle petrol away from
sparks, naked flames, heat and other
ignition sources. Smoking prohibited
when handling fuel. Fuel left in the
engine in hot weather depletes, and can
cause serious starting problems.
