• You must have set up your emergency contacts. You can only use mobile phone numbers; it is not
possible to send an SMS to fixed line numbers. Please inform your emergency contacts in advance.
• The coupled smartphone must always have an active data connection and network coverage.
• Please check before every ride whether the battery capacity of your smartphone and your helmet
are sufficient.
If an accident is detected, the following will happen:
• A countdown is started on your smartphone. The countdown duration can be set in the CRATONI
Connect App.
• Now, there are two possibilities:
1. The countdown ends: in this case, your location will be sent by SMS to your emergency contacts.
2. If you do not need help or the countdown was started by mistake, you can cancel the countdown
by means of the slider and from that time on, the crash sensor will be active again.
The crash sensor reacts to fast changes in velocity, for example if you brake very hard. This may
result in two scenarios:
Scenario 1: After having braked very hard, you stop. The crash sensor considers this as potential
accident and the countdown is started.
Scenario 2: You keep on going within approx. 5 seconds. This is detected by the sensor and no
countdown is started.
Information! The SMS does not involve any charges for you. CRATONI pays the charges. The SMS
can only be dispatched when the coupled smartphone has network reception.
Information! Please note that you must define your name unambiguously in the settings. The
emergency SMS uses your profile name to establish the contact.
Important! iOS can't show countdown when screen is locked, for Android you have to give
permission first!
