2.4 Proper use

The level transmitter is used to measure fluid levels as well as provide the measured
values to a downstream installed controller.
Proper use also includes:
 observing all the notes contained in these operating instructions
 paying attention to the indications on the nameplate and any prohibition or instruction
symbols on the measuring system
 paying attention to the operating instructions of the machine or system manufacturer
 operating the measuring system not exceeding the limit values specified in the technical
data
The following fields of use are especially forbidden:
 environments where there is an explosive atmosphere
 medical purposes
Examples of typical fiels of use:
 Active monitoring of the fluid level in agricultural, forestry and construction
machines, i.e. in:
- Hydraulic oil tanks
- Transmission oil tanks
- Fuel tanks
 Active monitoring of the fluid level in agricultural applications, i.e. in:
- Fertiliser tanks
 Active monitoring of the fluid level in industrial applications, i.e. in:
- Hydraulic oil tanks in presses, in rollers, in machine tools
- Cooling lubricant tanks in machine tools
- Transmission oil tanks in wind turbines
 and similar applications
Where there is a danger of physical injury and damage to property arising
from jerking displacement of values in the measuring system !
