5.5.4 Cleaning, changing air filter
Do not operate the engine without air filter, as this
will cause premature engine wear.
Attention
Do not allow any dust to enter the carburettor.
Risk of engine damage.
The filter cartridge must be replaced in the event
of:
• Damage to the seal or cartridge
• After cleaning three time or after one year at the
latest
• Sooty deposits on the filter cartridge

Loosen housing cover and remove

Carefully remove filter cartridge (2)
Cleaning
Risk of eye injury! Wear protective goggles.
Danger
•
Blow-out filter cartridge (2) with dry, compressed air (max. 5
bar) from the inside to the outside.
or
Never use petroleum spirit, cleaning solutions
with a low flash-point or hot liquids for cleaning
the filter cartridge.
Danger
•
Clean filter cartridge by moving back and forth in luke-warm
water using a commercially available detergent.
•
Rinse out thoroughly with cold water.
•
Shake and allow to dry.
•
After cleaning, inspect filter cartridge for damage using a
lamp.
•
Note number of times cleaned on the filter cover (1).
•
Carefully refit filter cartridge.
•
Fit filter cover and tighten.
