▪ Check that the auxiliary handle is properly
mounted and reliably tightened.
SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING Off
The polisher is secured against unintentional
switching on.
Switching on - At first press the ON/OFF switch
locking button 5 positioned on the upper side of
the grip handle, and then press the main lever
of switch 4.
Switching off - Release switch 4. In case the
switch is locked, first press and then release
that switch.
MOUNTING THE ACCESSORIES
The standard set includes backing pad with
flange nut for direct mounting onto the spindle
and hook-and-loop fixing to the operating tool.
It is possible to deliver the power tool with differ-
ent accessories.
When mounting or dismounting polishing and
sanding tools (accessories) by screwing/un-
screwing onto the spindle, fix the polisher spin-
dle 1 by depressing the lock button 6 positioned
on the gear box.
WARNING: Never press the button 6
while the spindle is still rotating!
MOUNTING THE AUXILIARY HANDLE
The auxiliary handle 3 must be always mounted
during any work with the machine except for the
case when the protective cover is mounted and
the auxiliary handle is not used for the specific
operation.
The auxiliary handle 3 can be mounted alterna-
tively on the right
The auxiliary handle for this model is connected
to the body of the machine through vibration
dampers, protecting the operator and reducing
fatigue.
fLEXIBLE BACKING PAD
The backing pad 2 can be screwed directly onto
the spindle. The hook-and-loop operating tools
7 (sandpaper, polishing sponge, felt wheel,
lambswool bonnet, etc.) can be fixed directly
onto the flexible backing pad.
The operating tool dimensions must be Ø148min
to Ø180max. Ensure the accessory is tightly at-
tached to the backing pad and it is co-axial with

the pad.
To dismount (unscrew) the backing pad use a
spanner when necessary. In case the flexible
backing pad is equipped with a flange nut, the
pad is screwed directly onto the spindle. Screw
the flange nut and tighten it by a 2-pin spanner.
fIXING THE OPERATING TOOL TO THE
HOOK-AND-LOOP (VELCRO) BACKING
PAD
The operating tool fastened to the backing pad
shall be Ømin148. The operating tool shall be
aligned with the backing pad and care shall be
taken to ensure their coaxiality. Eccentrically
mounted operating tools cause wobbling and
vibrations.
WARNING: Use only pads with un-
damaged hook-and-loop system. Perform a
trial test for at least 30 sec at no load after
replacing the backing pad.
WARNING: Vibrating or otherwise
improperly rotating backing pads must be re-
placed immediately!
WIRE BRUSH
The machine can be operated with cup/wheel
wire brush with M14 thread.
Screw the wire brush onto the spindle 1 and
tighten it by the spanner.
LAMBSWOOL POLISHING BONNET
Place the lambswool polishing bonnet on the
backing pad and check the correct distribution
of the bonnet.
Fix the bonnet on the pad by the drawstring.
Insert the drawstring ends into the bonnet.
fELT POLISHING WHEEL AND POL-
ISHING SPONGE WITH fLANGE
Screw the felt wheel or the sponge with flange
onto the spindle 1.
CLOTH WHEEL (BUff)
The cloth wheel is fastened by a carrier con-
sisting of threaded stud with opening, support
flange and fixing flange. To mount the cloth
wheel screw it onto the spindle.
