4.2.2 Signal generation

By means of this function the user defines the parameters related to pilot
signals that the RP-250 emits in the working frequency band (5 to 2500 MHz) to
characterise the channel transmission. It is possible to select the following parameters
for each pilot: frequency, level and signal activation or deactivation.
When starting up the RP-250, the equipment recovers the signal configuration
from the last work session and shows it on the display.
In the lower part of the display, upon the selection frame, it appears a line with
the parameters of each signal and where the parameter to be modified is shaded. In
order to change this parameter, press repeatedly the programmable [F5] key, or press
the selection button [8] until appearing shaded the field which corresponds to the
parameter that you wish to modify.
In order to change a parameter value press the navigation buttons [7] or directly
enter the numerical value by means of the keyboard [9].
As an example, to modify the characteristics of the pilot signal number five (P5),
press the selection button [8] or the
field from the parameters line, later press the navigation buttons [7] until selecting the
pilot signal number five (P5). Back to press the selection button [8] in order to select the
parameter to be modified and enter the new value through the keyboard [9] or the
navigation buttons [7].
