Mounting a hollow shaft encoder with a long stator coupling on one side
If necessary, mount the feather key (1) supplied on the drive shaft (2) pro‐
vided by the customer (observe
Block the customer's drive shaft (2).
Apply screw adhesive (observe
ring (3) or the Torx T20 screw (4) supplied.
Insert the Torx T20 screw (4) in the clamping ring (3) and secure it loosely;
do not tighten it at this stage.
Push the encoder onto the customer drive shaft (2), aligning it with the
feather key (1), so that the long stator coupling (5) is resting against the
mounting surface (6).
Mount the long stator coupling (5) using at least one M4 screw (7) and a
washer (8), and apply screw adhesive (observe
at the same time.
Tighten the screw (7); tightening torque: 1.2 ± 0.1 Nm.
Tighten the Torx T20 screw (4) on the clamping ring (3), tightening torque:
3.5 ± 0.1 Nm.

Push the encoder into the centering/mounting spigot (1).
Secure the screws (2) loosely and apply screw adhesive (observe

Secure the servo clamps (1) and the screws (2) loosely, and apply screw
adhesive (observe

Align the servo clamps (1) so that the encoder can be pushed into the cen‐
tering/mounting spigot (3).
Push the encoder into the centering/mounting spigot (3).
Insert the servo clamps (1) into the servo groove by rotating them. Ensure
maximum overlap and secure by screwing in the screws (2).
Tighten the screws (2); tightening torque:
1.2 ± 0.1 Nm.
Create a shaft connection between the encoder and the drive shaft using a
suitable, flexible connection (observe

half-shells
Push the encoder into the centering/mounting spigot (1).
Secure the servo clamp half-shells (2) and the screws (3) loosely, and apply
screw adhesive (observe
