Tools of this class operate on
a wide range of air pres s ures.
We recommend that air pressure
mea s ures 90 psig at the air inlet
with the trigger depressed and
no load applied to the tool. Low
pressure (less than 90 psig
6.2 bar) re d uc e s the speed and
performance of all air tools. High
pres s ure (over 115 psig 8.0 bar)
exceeds the rated capacity of the
tool, which will short e n tool life
and could cause injury.
Always use clean, dry air. Dust,
corrosive fumes, and/or water in
the air line will cause damage to
the tool. Drain water from air
LUBRICATION
Lubricate the air motor daily with
NAPA high quality air tool oil. If
no air line oiler is used, run 1/2 oz.
of oil through the tool. The oil can
be squirted into the tool air inlet
or into the hose at the nearest
con n ec t ion to the air supply, then
OPERATION
Always turn off the air supply,
drain hose of air pressure and
detach tool from air supply before
installing, removing or adjusting
any part or accessory on this
tool, or before performing any
maintenance on this tool.
Tire buffing wheels or rasps can
be mounted providing their speed
rating exceeds the speed of the
Tire Buffer and the thread size
of the mounted accessory must

filter screen weekly.
The air inlet used for con n ect i ng
air supply, has stan d ard 1/4" NPT
American Thread. Line pressure
should be increased to compensate
for unusually long air hoses (over
25 feet). Minimum hose diameter
should be 3/8" I.D. Fittings should
have the same inside dimensions
and should be tightly secured.
Ensure an accessible emergency
shut off valve has been installed in
the air supply line and make others
aware of its location.
run the tool. A rust inhibitive oil is
acceptable for air tools. Overfilling
will cause a re d uc t ion in the power
of the tool.
WARNING: After an air tool has
been lubricated, oil will discharge
match the size of the quick change
adapter.
After mounting a new tire buffing
wheel or rasp, start the Tire
Buffer under bench and run for
a few seconds. If the Tire Buffer
starts to vibrate when first fitting
a mounted tire buffing wheel
or rasp, or during operation,
immediately remove from service.
If Tire Buffer is dropped, replace
the tire buffing wheel or rasp.

The exhaust port must be covered

When using the Tire Buffer, be
careful not to exert excessive
force which could be hazardous
and cause mounted quick change

NOTE: During operation, safety
goggles must always be worn to
guard against flying rust and chips
