10) Attach the adapter of the arm component to the lamination ring.
INFORMATION: Check the dimensions of the definitive prosthesis
with a trial fitting and correct them if necessary.
Adjusting the humeral rotation
Tools required:
>
Torque wrench (adjustable to 0.5 Nm)
► Adjust the torque of the 3 truss head screws to achieve the desired res
istance for the humeral rotation (torque 1.5 Nm to 4 Nm).
5.3 Shoulder fitting
The 12R7=* modular kit is used for the prosthetic fitting of patients with a
shoulder girdle amputation or shoulder disarticulation. The attached tube is
for connecting to the 12S7 prosthetic shoulder joint. The 13R7 adapter is
used for the connection to the 12S4 prosthetic shoulder joint.
Optional: replacing the adapter
Tools required:
>
Torque wrench (adjustable to0.5 Nm)
1) Unscrew the set screw that secures the proximal tube to the modular
elbow joint.
2) Pull the tube off the modular elbow joint; it is no longer needed.
3) Fit the adapter completely on the modular elbow joint and tighten the set
screw (torque 0.5 Nm).
Trial fitting
Required tools and materials:
>
Torque wrench (adjustable to0.5 Nm)
1) Connect all prosthesis components to each other.
INFORMATION: The 10R2* adapter is needed for assembly of the
12S7 prosthetic shoulder joint (not included in scope of delivery).
2) Optional: adjust the tube length to the patient's measurements (see
Page 19). Only for 12S4: adjust the length of the upper arm bar to the
patient's measurements.
Definitive mounting
Required tools and materials:
>
Torque wrench (adjustable to 0.5 Nm), 636K13 Loctite® 241
1) Only for 12S4: Unscrew the truss head screws of the adapter. Apply
Loctite to the truss head screws and tighten them (torque: 4 Nm).
2) Only for 12S7: fit the 10R2* adapter completely on the tube and tighten
the cap screw (torque: 4 Nm).
