2) Unscrew the cap screw of the adapter on the proximal end of the tube
and remove the adapter. The tube is no longer needed.
3) Unscrew the 3 truss head screws of the adapter and remove the lamina
tion ring. The adapter is no longer needed.
4) Place the new adapter on the lamination ring and screw in the 3 truss
head screws (torque: 4 Nm).
5) Fit the new adapter completely on the modular elbow joint and tighten
the set screw (torque 0.5 Nm).
Trial fitting
Tools required:
>
Torque wrench (adjustable to0.5 Nm)
>
The inner socket and moulded hard foam part for the outer socket have
been prepared.
1) Assemble the inner socket and the moulded hard foam part.
2) Connect all prosthesis components to the moulded hard foam part.
3) Optional: adjust the tube length to the patient's measurements (see
Page 19). Adjust the length of the moulded hard foam part to the
patient's measurements.
4) If the measurements are correct: mark the position of the lamination
ring on the moulded hard foam part.

The inner socket and moulded hard foam part for the outer socket have
been prepared.
1) Unscrew the 3 truss head screws on the proximal end of the arm com
ponent and remove the lamination ring.
2) Insulate the inside of the lamination ring.
3) Transfer the inner contour of the lamination ring to the marked position
on the moulded hard foam part with lightweight putty.
4) Remove the lamination ring after the lightweight putty hardens.
5) Grind the shape of the moulded hard foam part.
6) Pull on a PVA bag and tie off distally.
7) Position the lamination ring on the PVA bag.
8) Laminate the outer socket. In the process, secure the connection to the
lamination ring with carbon fibre cloth.
9) Grind away or cut away the distal surface of the lamination ring after the
laminating resin hardens. Remove the moulded hard foam part from the
outer socket.
