Wrist Unit – ratchet type rotation, short
The ratchet type rotation wrist units feature two levers.
The locking lever A locks rotation of the Otto Bock System Hand or Otto Bock
Cable-Activated Hook (Fig. 1, lever A). Actuacting the lever once again
will unlock rotation. Now the terminal device can be rotated to one of the
12 different ratchet positions.
The attachment plate automatically locks in place, when the plate's stud
audibly engages with the terminal stop when pushing in.
Actuating the release lever B (Fig. 1, lever B) releases the attachment plate
with stud from the wrist unit.
Connecting the 10V26 Flexion Device to the 10V8 Wrist Unit – ratchet type
rotation – results in two other movement planes.
When using the 10V26 Flexion Device, the flexion of the 10V8 Wrist Unit –
ratchet type rotation – can be locked with the lever (Fig. 2).

4 Handling
4.1 Assembly
Clean the threads of the 10A43 and 10A56 Attachment Plates with stud
and of the terminal device with acetone and let air dry. Next, apply a little
bit of 636K14 Loctite 601 to the thread of the terminal device. Now screw
the stud onto the thread of the terminal device up to the stop.
NOTICE
Risk of damage as a result of improper handling of the glue. To en-
sure a solid bond, the respective areas must be degreased with acetone
before applying the adhesive.
