Performing Linearity Tests

The meter, test strips, and linearity solution are needed.
1. Insert the test strip into the meter in the direction of the arrows. The meter turns on.
2. Make sure the code number on the display matches the code number on the test strip
container. If the code number is overlooked, remove the test strip and reinsert it into the
meter.

3. Select the linearity solution to be tested.
4. Put the meter on a flat surface, such as a table.
5. Remove the linearity solution bottle cap. Wipe the tip of the bottle with a lint-free wipe.
6. Squeeze the bottle until a tiny drop forms at the tip. Touch the drop to the front edge of
the yellow window of the test strip. When
test strip. Wipe the tip of the bottle with a lint-free wipe then cap the bottle tightly.
7. T he result appears on the display, along with the control bottle symbol and flashing "L."
Do not mark the level. Record the result.
8. Turn the meter off. Remove and discard the used test strip per facility policy.
9. Repeat from step 1.
