Your facility may require that control testing be successfully performed after any of the
following occur and before patient testing resumes:
• P revious control test results were out of the acceptable range.
• C ontrol tests were not performed at the proper interval.
Control results must be within the designated range on the test strip container label, or as

defined by your facility, before being considered acceptable. Patients can be tested after
controls have been acceptably performed at the proper testing interval.

About the Control Solutions

• O nly use Accu-Chek Performa Control Solutions.
• W rite the date the bottle was opened on the bottle label. The control solution is stable for
three months from that date or until the expiry date on the bottle label, whichever comes
first.
• D o not use control solution that is past the expiry date.
• C lose the bottle tightly after use.
• S tore the bottle at 2 °C to 32 °C. Do not freeze.
• T he meter automatically recognizes the Accu-Chek Performa Control Solution.
• T he solution can stain fabric. Wash with soap and water.
• C ontrol results are not displayed in memory.
