Cleaning and Care
Cleaning the Surface
Risk of Electrical Shock!
Separate the exhaust hood from the
electrical supply by removing the plug
from the outlet or tripping the fuse.
Please make sure that no water enters
the device during cleaning.
Early cleaning of the surfaces prevents
toilsome removal of deep-rooted debris
later. Please only use standard deter-
gent or all purposes cleaners which are
suitable for stainless steel / aluminium
surfaces. Never use scouring cleaners
or steel wool.
After cleaning the hood, treat the
stainless steel surfaces with an appro-
priate preserving agent. Painted sur-
faces should be cleaned with a mild
detergent and a very soft cloth. The
control panel must only be cleaned with
a soft, damp cloth.
Opening the glass panel:
Reach with both hands, left and right,
behind the glass panel and pull the
panel down until the magnetic contact
releases (1.).
The glass panel now opens to the first
12
step (cooking at
sive level). In order to open the glass
panel even further, the linkage must be
pressed towards the rear.
Pull the glass panel further down as far
as it will go.
Cleaning the grease filter
Fire hazard!
The performance of the extractor hood
is impaired by greasy residues and the
fire hazard is increased by the deposits.
To prevent the risk of fire, we recom-
mend regular cleaning of the metal filter.
With the glass panel open, hold the
metal filter by the filter grips and pull
down until the magnetic contact re-
leases. Now pull the metal filter out to-
wards the front. Filter installation in re-
verse order. The necessary cleaning of
the grease filter is also indicated by the
LED display after 15 operating hours,
the red LED on the roof unit begins to
light up – then please clean the filter.
Metal filters are best cleaned in the dish-
washer using a gentle detergent. The
manufacturer does not assume any
guarantee whatsoever for any discolour-
ation caused by the use of aggressive
cleaning agents. Temperatures exceed-
ing 55 degrees must also be avoided.
