7. Working life

7.11 Setting up lifting columns: Master/Slave

After connecting the lifting columns, each lifting column must be configured with its own ad-
dress, so that it can work correctly in partnership.
The first lifting column must always be assigned the address 1. The 1 establishes that this lifting
column is the Master lifting column.
Each additional lifting column must be assigned an address between 2 and 8, with no address
being assigned twice. We therefore recommend that you allocate addresses in ascending order
(the second lifting column will be assigned address 2, the third lifting column address 3 etc.).
Example: You want to allocate addresses to three interconnected lifting columns.

7.11.1 Set up first lifting column (Master)

Ensure that the hand switch is plugged into the socket of the first lifting column (Master lifting
column).

Press the F key until "P---" or "ParA" appears in the display. If "P---" appears in the display,
continue with step 3. If "ParA" appears in the display, use the hand switch keypad to enter
the access code 13121. The display changes to "P---".

Use the hand switch keypad to enter the code 113.
•
Use the UP and DOWN keys
•
Press the F key to quit setup.
•
Press the F key again until "P---" appears in the display.
•
Use the hand switch keypad to enter the code 123.
•
Set the number of slaves in the bus system using the up / down keys. In this example, the
parameter must be set to "2".
•
Then press the F key to store the setting.

7.11.2 Set up second lifting column (Slave 1)

•
Plug the hand switch into the socket of the second lifting column.
•
Now enter the access code 13121 again, followed by the code 113.
•
Set the value "2".
•
Press the F key to quit setup.

7.11.3 Set up third lifting column (Slave 2)

•
Plug the hand switch into the socket of the third lifting column.
•
Now enter the access code 13121 again, followed by the code 113.
•
Set the value "3".
•
Press the F key to quit setup.
Plug the hand switch into the Master lifting column and execute the initialisation run (see section
7.12).
