B : Undo the Velcro fasteners of the belt.
C : Lift the belt strap. Place the harness strap on the belt and put the belt strap over it.
D : Close the Velcro fasteners. Do the same on the other side. The belt is now in place.
SETTING UP THE BELT :
1 : Untangle the straps if required and then position the belt around the waist without twisting the
straps.
2 : Snap the male and female parts of the automatic buckle (Rep.3) together and then adjust the belt to
your waist by pulling on the belt adjustment straps (Rep.2);
Keep the excess strap in the elastic loops provided for this purpose (Rep.7).
USE :
- For safety, it is essential for the anchor point to always be correctly positioned as close as possible in
order to minimise the risk of falling and the height of any fall. The anchor point on the structure where
the fall-arrest system will be fixed must be above the user. It must also comply with the minimum
resistance requirements specified in the EN795:2012 standard (R ≥ 1200 DaN).
- Before every use, the empty space (clearance) required under the user must be verified so that, in
case of a fall, there is no collision with the ground, or with a fixed or moving obstacle that is within the
fall trajectory.
- Try not to distance yourself too much from this anchor point in order to limit the impact of a possible
pendulum fall.
- The tool holders must not be used as hooking points under any circumstances.
- When used in the work support and restraint position (EN 358:2018) via a lanyard, the anchorage
point of the lanyard must be at or above waist level. This lanyard must be kept tight. Both lateral
hooking D-rings must systematically be used together when connected to this lanyard. Note that these
connections are established using a connector that complies with the EN 362 standard.
- The lateral (EN 358:2018) ventral points (EN 813:2008) hooking D-rings are not designed for and must
not be used as a fall-arrest system. A belt should not be used if there is a foreseeable risk that the user
will be suspended or exposed to uncontrolled tension by the belt. It may be necessary to combine the
work positioning and restraint systems with fall-protection systems, either collective (e.g. safety net)
or individual (fall-arrest system compliant with EN 363). Please note that in a fall-arrest system, only an
EN361- compliant fall-arrest harness may be used for gripping a body; The fall-arrest hooking points on
the harness are identified by a marker «A» (Dorsal or sternal hooking point) or «A/2» (It is mandatory
that the sternal hooking points be connected together). Any unidentified «A» or «A/2» ring cannot be
used as a fall-arrest hooking point.
- The use of the belt is approved for use by a person weighing 140 kg or less (The weight includes the
user, his tools and his equipment).
- During use, regularly check the harness fastening and adjustment parts; These components must be
protected from any environmental stress: mechanical stress (impacts, sharp
edges, etc.), chemical stress (splashing of acids, bases, solvents, etc.), electrical stress (short-circuit,
electric arcs, etc.) or thermal stress (hot surfaces, blowtorches, etc.).
- Authorised temperature limits: No contraindications for use between –30 and +50°C.
- If this product is to be resold outside the first destination country, the reseller must provide this
instructions manual, drafted in the language of the country in which the product will be used.
TRANSPORTATION/PACKAGING/STORAGE :
- The equipment must be protected when not in use, in a rot- proof protective packaging.
- During transportation, protect it from impacts or pressure that may result from the immediate
environment.
- Store it in a dry, ventilated room that is sheltered from ultraviolet rays, frost and corrosion.
VERIFICATIONS :
- By a visual inspection, verify before, during and after use that the equipment is in good condition
