9. Commissioning
a) Inserting Batteries in the Outdoor Sensor
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor by turning out the four
attachment screws of the battery compartment lid and taking it off.
• Pick one of the transmission channels with the slider (17). When using only one outdoor
sensor (one is 9injcluded, others can be ordered separately), set transmission channel 1.
When using several outdoor sensors (up to 3 are possible), set a different channel for each
outdoor sensor.
• Insert two batteries of the type AAA/Micro with correct polarity into the battery compartment
of the outdoor sensor (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
• Use the button „°C/°F" (15) to choose the desired display unit for the outdoor sensor display
(°C = degrees Celsius, °F =degrees Fahrenheit).
• Before closing the battery compartment again, take the basis station into operation.
When it searches for the signal of the available outdoor sensors (see chapter 9. b), you may
accelerate recognition by briefly pushing button „TX" (16).
This manually sends a data package with the measured values.
b) Inserting the Batteries into the Weather Station
• Open the battery compartment (8) on the rear of the weather station and insert 2 type AAA/
Micro batteries into with correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
• Close the battery compartment again.
• The weather station display briefly shows all display segments and the display lighting will
be activated briefly and a signal sounds.
• Then the barometric pressure display (C) flashes. Set the current barometric pressure value
at the site of setup with the buttons „BARO" (10) and „BARO" (11) respectively.
You can get this value, e.g. from the internet. Approximate input is sufficient.
The setting is possible separately later as well. You may therefore also skip input.
• Push the button „BARO" (9) to complete barometric pressure input; the weather station will
start searching for the outdoor sensors.
• Dashes flash in the area of the display of the outdoor sensor's measured data (upper right
in the display).
The weather station now searches for the available outdoor sensors' signals for about
3 minutes. Do not move the weather station during this time and do not press any button.
