12.Defrosting and water discharge (Fig. 5)

The Lucerna 2 line of refrigeration units is provided with a simple-stop defrosting system (through stop-
ping of the refrigeration cycle).
To discharge the water from defrosting, proceed as follows:
- have a floor drain with a slight incline (Rif. 11).
- install a siphon between the unit discharge tube and the connection on the ground.
- hermetically seal the floor drain area.
In this way, unpleasant odors inside of the unit can be avoided, as well as loss of refrigerated air, and
possible unit malfunction due to humidity.
Note:Periodically check that the hydraulic connections are still efficient, contacting a qualified
installer.

13.Lighting (Fig. 5)

Internal lighting of the unit is obtained through fluorescent lights (Rif. 5)
The light switch can be found on the front casing of the unit (Rif. 10)

14.Night cover - optional - (Fig. 6)

In order to avoid useless loss of refrigeration and to guarantee hygiene of the merchandise displayed
during the night, manual covers are available.
Hook the cover to the handrail as indicated.
Note:For units with internal lighting, turn the lights off before covering the unit with the night
cover.

15.Replacing bulbs (Fig. 5)

In order to replace a bulb, proceed as follows:
- Turn off the unit's power supply.
- Remove the hoods, slide out the bulb from the protective cover, and replace it with the new one.
- Reinsert the hoods, making sure that the contacts are correctly placed in the appropriate openings.
- Reposition the bulb assembly in the appropriate hooks, until a click is heard.
- Restore electrical power.

16.Multiplexing units (Fig. 8)

To multiplex two or more units, proceed as follows:
- Disassemble the sides (if present).
- Place the units side by side
- Remove the backs in order to have access to the riser openings
- Join the risers and the brackets, using the provided screws (1) - (2)
- Replace the back panels.

17.Maintenance and cleaning (Fig. 4)

ATTENTION!: BEFORE ANY MAINTENANCE OR CLEANING OPERATION,
DISCONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE UNIT USING THE MAIN
SWITCH. IN ORDER TO PROTECT YOUR HANDS DURING CLEANING
OPERATIONS, ALWAYS USE WORK GLOVES.
Food products can deteriorate due to microbes and bacteria.
Respecting hygiene norms is indispensable in order to guarantee protection of consumer health, as
well as respecting the chain of refrigeration, for which the sales point is the last controllable ring. Clea-
ning of refrigeration units should be carried out as follows:
Cleaning of external parts (Daily / Weekly)
- On a weekly basis, clean the external parts of the unit, using neutral household detergents or soap
