3.10- Warning!
- Never work on materials containing asbestos (as asbestos is considered carcinogenic).
- Do not assume your knowledge of the bench grinder. Remember that a split second of negligence is
sufficient to cause serious damage and/or injury.
- Do not use the side of the wheels for polishing or for grinding.
- Bench grinders should be fixed on a work bench, a work table, a stand...
- Special safety guidelines
. Check the grinding wheel before use for possible damages. Do not use grinding wheels that are
cracked, torn or damaged
. Check that the rotation speed given on the wheel is greater than or equal to the rated speed of the
machine
. The grinding wheel must be securely installed with the mounting nut.
. The screws on the protective device must be properly screwed on.
. A wheel that is already damaged or deformed should not be further used.
. Use only original grinding wheels, which is delivered or recommended by the manufacturer.
3.11- Handling, transport and storage of the wheels.
The wheels are fragile and sensitive to shocks and impacts.
Therefore special precautions should be taken:
a) do not let the wheel fall and avoid impacts effects.
b) do not use a dropped or damaged wheel.
c) Avoid strong vibrations or vibrations during operation.
d) avoid damaging the mounting bore
e) Avoid loads on the sharpening surface
f) store grinding wheels flat or perpendicularly, keep dry, protected from frost and at a constant and
medium temperature.
g) Keep the grinding wheels in their original packaging or in special containers and on shelves.
IV. GETTING STARTED
Before any intervention on product, ensure that product is disconnected from its
power source.
4.1- Unpacking
Remove product from its packaging.
Check that tool and accessories are not damage
4.2- Preparation
- Place machine on a flat, stable and solid surface. It is recommended to fix the tool on a workbench
or work table or stand.
- ONLY for WET GRINDING WHEEL
Before starting grinding operation, pour water into the basin (12).
Pour water in the basin (12) until the grindstone is dipped in water for about 1cm.
Regularly check water level during operation, and if necessary add water so as to avoid
grindstone from operating in dry condition.
Warning: do not pour water into tool; do not splash water on tool.
4.3- Protective cover
The bench grinder is delivered with a protective cover (3) for grinding operations.
NEVER work with the protective cover removed or not properly assembled.
