V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
- The product is intended for indoor domestic use.
- The product is intended for grinding, sharpening and/or polishing tools' metal blades by using the
appropriate accessory within the limits of the grinder
For example: knives, scissors, shears, hatchets, scythes, etc.,.
- Do not use the grinder for working on products containing asbestos or other toxic or hazardous
materials.
- This power tool may not be used for purposes outside the described scope.
- Do not use the tool for purposes not appropriate (eg cutting of products containing hazardous
materials ...), or for any use not described in this manual.
- The tool is not intended for artisanal, commercial, professional and / or industrial use.
- Do not use other types of wheels other than those recommended by the manufacturer to avoid a
hazard.
5.2- Operation
1. Prepare the workpiece.
2. For wet grinder only: check water level before every use, refill if necessary, and ensure that the
grinding wheel is wet before beginning operation. Do not use the grinding wheel without water.
3. Connect (*) product to a power source (refer to characteristics on product).

Directly plug the PRCD into fixed socket.
Press reset button: indicator should be "on".
Press test button: indicator should be "off".
Press reset button for use.
Note: do NOT use if test failed.
4. Wear appropriate protective equipment.
5. Firmly hold workpiece. Always maintain a balanced and secure position.
6. Press switch to ON (I) position to start machine.
7. Place workpiece on grinding area (grindstone top, flat area). Do not make sudden movements.
Guide blade on the grinding surface, do not apply excessive pressure.
You can also put the workpiece on holder (9) so as to help you during operation.
Tips: - If you work with blade in the rotation of the grinding wheel, you will achieve a more precise
result and will remove less material. This method is recommended for light tools, such as:
knives, scissors, carving tools...
- If you work with blade against the rotation of the grinding wheel, you will remove more
material quickly resulting in less precise work. This method is recommended for coarse tools
such as: axes, scythes...
- To smoothen the material/workpiece, you may remove any remnants by using the finishing
wheel.
- Do not place material/workpiece on grindstone edges
8. Once sharpening is finished with the grinding wheel, you may clear material/workpiece with the
finishing wheel.
9. Once work is finished, stop product by putting switch on the OFF position (0).
Note: do not touch tool until the wheels have come to a complete stop.
Note: once unit is switched off, never slow down the wheel by applying pressure on its faces.
5.3- Tips:
- Do not apply to much force on tool that could slow down the wheel.
- To grind in an effective way, position the material at a 30° to 40° angle on the wheel.
- For polishing: polish the surface in even motion.
