care thoroughly before first use.
Instructions for use
• Before using for the first time, remove any
stickers, briefly boil water in the pot, rinse out
and dry well.
• Use the highest setting only to heat up, turn
down the heat in good time and finish cook-
ing the food at moderate heat.
• Use the lowest setting especially when cook-
ing with little water.
• Pots and Cromargan® lids without plastic
parts are also suitable for the oven. Glass lids
are suitable for the oven up to max. 180°C
(Cookware range Diadem Plus to 130°C).
• Please note that the handles can become hot.
Pan holders should be used.
• If a handle of your pot becomes loose, tighten
the screw on the handle using a commercially
available screwdriver. Discontinue use of the
pot until this has been done.
• If the plastic handles are damaged due to
inappropriate use, your retailer will be pleased
to supply you with replacements.
• With prolonged cooking times lids and lid han-
dles can get hot. Please use panholders when
pouring cooking water or hot liquid away.
• For pots with non-insertable lids, a film of
water may cause a vacuum to form. If this
happens, slightly warm up the pot again and
remove the lid.
Care and Safety instructions
• Never heat up the cookware when empty and
ensure that the liquid in the food does not
completely evaporate. If this is ignored the
food may burn or damage the cookware, or
cause damage to the hob.
• Add salt only to boiling water and stir to pre-
vent the salt damaging the base.
• After use rinse in hot water as soon as possible.
• Soak residue food and remove with a sponge
or brush. (We recommend Scotch Brite clean-
ing sponge »Kratzt nicht 3M«).
• Please do not use steel wool or cleaning fluid
containing sand.
• Hard water and certain food types can cause
marks or shimmering blue discoloration on
the inside. Please remove regularly and
without delay, by heating up vinegar in your
cookware. For obstinate stains we recommend
WMF Purargan®, available
in WMF retail shops.
• Store cookware completely dry.
Instructions for cleaning in the dishwasher
• Use only brand name detergent. Refill the
special salt and rinsing agent when low. Salt
must not be spilt in the inside of the dish-
washer. A concentration of salt can cause
corrosion. We therefore recommend running
the dishwasher empty once after filling the
salt container.
• Other objects in the dishwasher can transfer
rust onto the cookware, causing corrosion da-
mage if not removed immediately.
• Open the dishwasher as soon as it has finished
washing to allow air to circulate.
• Take the cookware out of the dishwasher as
soon as possible and do not leave it when
damp for any length of time as this could
cause stains.
• Store cookware completely dry.
