Problem solving

People suffering from cardiac arrhythmia, vascular
constrictions, arteriosclerosis in the extremities and
diabetics should consult their doctor before performing
blood pressure self-monitoring because in such cases
the blood pressure levels may be different.

Display Possible cause
The systolic pressure was established but afterwards the
ERR 1
cuff pressure fell to below 20 mmHg. This situation occurs
if the tube was disconnected after measurement of systolic
blood pressure. Further possible cause: no pulsations were
detected.
Unnatural pressure pulses affect the result of
ERR 2
measurement. The arm was moved during measurement
(artefact).
Inflation for measurement is taking too long. The cuff is not
ERR 3
fitted properly or the tube connection is leaking.
The results indicate an unacceptable discrepancy between
ERR 5
systolic pressure and diastolic pressure. Perform another
measurement, following the instructions carefully. Consult
your doctor if the results are still unusual.
Pulse above 200. The device can only indicate a pulse of
HI
40-200. Possibly arrhythmia or irregular breathing.

Remedy
Major leak during measurement. If the
connector is OK, return the device.
Remain calm.
If neither applies, return the device.
Plausibility check on results. The device
analyses values such as 160/140.
Arrhythmia – repeat measurement after 5
minutes of rest.
Irregular breathing – repeat measurement
after 5 minutes of rest, breathing shallowly.
Consult your doctor if necessary.
