3.6. Wiring the power supply
Prepare the positive (+) power supply cable to connect it to the amplifier using an appropriate Y crimp, then secure
the cable in place by screwing it down firmly.
Beware
!
The cable linking the positive (+) battery terminal to the "+ BATT" terminal of the amplifier MUST have a fuse
(amperage: 30 amps) at least 40 cm from the vehicle battery.
The fuse-holder connections must be fully insulated.
The fuse-holder must be linked on each side of the positive (+) power supply cable. It must be located close to the
battery (10-40 cm (fig. 9)). Remove the fuse holder, taking care to remove the fuse. Fix the base for the fuse-holder
in place.
Cut the red power supply cable between 10 and 40 cm (maximum) from the battery (fig. 9). Keep the rest of the cable,
which will be used to link the other end of the fuse-holder to the vehicle battery's positive (+) terminal.
Strip 1 cm, then solder. Screw the cable into the fuse-holder terminal. Recover the remaining cable. Strip 1 cm, then
solder. Screw the cable into the other terminal on the fuse-holder.
Insert the fuse into the fuse-holder(s), and screw in tightly.
