Part
(see figure above) shows the synchronization source, the reference for the
RT9s. This source can be the internal clock or an optional module (radio, IRIG, etc.).
If an external synchronization source is present, the following settings are available:
Time offset and DST policy of the source: this setting tells the RT9s the time offset
between the synchronization source and UTC time.
"Force internal clock" box: This option allows you to force the use of the internal
clock as the synchronization source, ignoring the external synchronization.
For certain types of synchronization inputs, you have access to specific settings.
For example for IRIG, you can specify whether the signal is AFNOR NFS 87500 or
IRIG-B (in which case, the current year, which is not contained in the IRIG-B signal
received, must be entered manually). These settings appear under the title "Specific
settings".
2
Part
(see figure above) shows the settings related to the internal clock. If an external
synchronization source is activated, the time information from this source automatically
updates the internal clock.
If no source is present or if the source is deactivated, you can modify the internal date
and time of the RT9s by clicking on "Change internal date and time".
When setting the internal clock, it is important to specify the offset between the entered
time and UTC time. Either the setting is done by entering the UTC time directly, or by
entering the local time while specifying the offset and the DST policy.
For example, in France, you can set the internal clock by entering the time on your
watch, and by specifying the offset of +1h, 0 minutes (which corresponds to the time
zone) and "Europe" DST policy.
3
In part
(see figure above), you can configure the outputs if one or more are available
depending on the RT9s options. Each output appears in a separate box.
For each output, it is possible to specify a time offset with UTC time and a DST policy,
which will be applied to the output time.
Some inputs or outputs have additional settings, as described below.
noTe
All the settings in this page will be confirmed when you click on "apply" and
do not require the rT9s to be restarted.
