INSTALLATION MANUAL
Ulrasonic sensors installation
A drilling tool (hole saw) is supplied with the product. In some cases, removing
the bumper is required to view the position of the hole and ensure the passage
of the wiring in the trunk of the vehicle.
1 • Position sensors on the bumper
FIG 1 • It is very important to accurately determine the optimum position of the sensors
before drilling. The height positioning of the sensors must be between 50 & 80 cm above the
floor. Measure the maximum width of the rear of the vehicle (L max). You can then calculate
the distances as shown in the diagram below. This calculation is theoretical and can be
adapted according to the physiognomy of the bumper of the vehicle. It is important to follow
the same inter-distance between the four sensors to obtain an optimal scope of protection.
FIG. 2 • The angle of positioning of the sensors must allow signal propagation parallel to the
ground. The sensor face must be 90° perpendicular to the ground plane. No obstacle should
be present in the field of the sensor. It is possible to modify the scope of the radar (see page
22) to circumvent a spare wheel or a towbar but an accessory-type bicycle racks can be
compatible.
FIG 3 • The drill hole must be provided at a position allowing the positioning of the support
to stick horizontally to the inside of the bumper . The support assembly must be placed
horizontally in the bumper. The legs of the support may be reduced if the space was
insufficient, but we advise you to add glue (windshield glue type) to ensure a permanent
retention of the support in the bumper.
CAUTION : Please do not rely on ultrasonic sensor locations of origin unless they match the
dimensions in Figure 1.
