knob over and down
!
USE EXTREME CAUTION! Blade is very sharp.
Note: Most materials listed on page 2 shear cleanly with just one cut. However, some type of laminate flooring
and thick resilient tile may require cutting twice to produce a better cut.
Warning: Do Not Use on High Pressure Laminate Or Solid Wood!
The Soft Flooring Shears are equipped with casters set in-line with the
blade for quick cuts along a wall. To use the caster "wall gauge":
1) Set your shear on the last full tile row and slide it so the left-right
aligned casters drop off the tile and onto the substrate.
2) Pull the shear away from the wall until the casters are touching the
last row of full tiles.
3) Place a new tile under the blade and slide it forward until it just
touches the wall.
4) Make your cut* and roll the shear to the next spot.
*Some designer tiles should be cut upside-down.
5) Drop your freshly cut tile into place.
Simply make your first cut 1/8" to 1/4" (3mm to 6mm) longer than your mark and then make a second cut on your
mark. This is very useful to create a cleaner cut on exposed ends or when you cannot over the cut edge with
molding or trim.
