Windows XP and 2000 users:
Click Start and then click Run.
Type cmd and press ENTER.
Type ipconfig and press ENTER.
Windows Me and 98SE users:
Click Start and then click Run.
Enter winipcfg and press ENTER.
In the pull-down menu, select the wireless network con-
nection.
5. If Step 4. does not display information for the Ethernet Adapter
Wireless Network Connection IP address your computer is not
communicating with the PCI adapter. Repeat the installation
procedure.
If Step 4. returns a message indicating that your media is dis-
connected, your computer is communicating with the PCI
adapter but the PCI adapter has not acquired an IP address
from the router. Make sure that you have selected the correct
wireless router or access point. Make sure the security set-
tings on the PCI adapter match the security settings of the
wireless access point or wireless router.
6. Type Ping followed by your router's or access point's IP
address. Refer to your router's or access point's documenta-
tion to obtain the IP address. If you cannot ping the access
point, make sure all the cables are properly connected, unplug
it, plug it back in, and reboot your computer. If you still cannot
