9.4 Replacing the carbon brushes
Electric shock due to electronic component damage
When replacing carbon brushes and turbines, electrical connections must be disconnected and
reconnected. Fatal electric shock may occur if electronic components become damaged or improperly
uninstalled in the process.
► The carbon brushes and turbines should be replaced only by a qualified electrician.
The service life of the first set of carbon brushes is approx. 500 hours. The service life is reduced by 20%
each time the carbon brush is replaced. The carbon brushes can be replaced twice in total. After that, the
motor must be replaced.

Screw in the filter cartridges. Ensure that the filter

cartridges are not tilted.
Position the top panel in place and secure with

clamps on both sides.
Loosen the clamps on the sides and remove the

top section with the handle.
Loosen the screws (4×) and remove the cover.
