Familiarise yourself with the corresponding
information for using sandpaper in the corre-
sponding sections and perform the described
procedures.
OPERATING WITH DIAMOND DISC
The choice of the diamond disc (31) depends on
the material you intend to process, the surface
quality you intend to achieve, etc. The maximum
diamond disc diameter to use with this machine
is 7" (~178 mm). The diamond disc max. weight
should not exceed 0.5 kg. Diamond disc bore
shall be Ø22.23 mm. The use of discs with bore
differing from the specified here is not admitted.
MOUNTING THE DIAMOND DISC
1. Ensure that the power tool is unplugged.
2. Turn the machine in a way ensuring ac-
cess to the operating tool. We recommend fixing
the machine in stationary position. Thus it would
be possible to use both hands for convenient
and safe assembly.
3. If you have already used the power tool
with another accessory - remove it following the
steps described in the corresponding section for
this accessory.
4. Clean the threaded and face surfaces of
the spindle (25) using a soft cloth.
5. Take flange (26) for operation with a dia-
mond disc and place it on the face of the spindle
(25). Please note that flange (26) for operation
with a diamond disc is different from flange (26)
for operation with sandpaper. The visual differ-
ence is in their thickness - the flange for operat-
ing with a diamond disc is thicker.
6. Ensure there is no dirt or foreign body
between the spindle (25) face and the flange
(26) face which may hamper their contact. The
presence of foreign bodies and disturbed face
contact are prerequisites for inexact movement
of the operating tool and increased vibration
causing unsatisfactory quality of the processed
surface.
7. Mount the diamond disc (31) so that its
bore enters the flange (26) step.
8. Fasten the nut (28) in order to fix firmly the
diamond disc (31) to the spindle (25). It is ob-
ligatory to observe the orientation of the fixing
nut (28) as shown on Fig. 9. Otherwise the nut
(28) will not fix the diamond disc (31) reliably.
9. Press the spindle lock button (29) and ro-
tate the spindle (25) clockwise until the button
sinks and locks the spindle (25) movement.

10. Tighten firmly the nut (28) using the spe-
cial spanner (30) supplied with the machine.
11. Release the spindle lock button (29). En-
sure that the button (29) has returned in its ini-
tial position and does not lock the spindle (25)
movement. In case the button (29) still locks
the spindle (25), rotate the spindle (25) or the
diamond disc (31) by hand until the button (29)
has been released and returned in its initial posi-
tion.
12. Remove the special spanner (30).
13. Turn the machine with the diamond disc
facing downwards.
14. Plug the power tool.
15. Slide the ON/OFF switch slider (33) for-
ward to switch on the machine.
16. Let the machine operate at no load for
approximately one minute not allowing the dia-
mond disc (31) to contact any surface.
17. At the event of increased vibrations or
other symptoms not typical for operation, stop
the machine immediately and search for the
reason. If you can not detect the reason your-
self - contact the nearest authorised SPARKY
service centre. Operating with a faulty machine
may cause an accident!
18. If no trouble is detected then you can start
operation.
REPLACING THE DIAMOND DISC
1. Ensure that the power tool is unplugged.
2. Turn the machine in a way ensuring ac-
cess to the operating tool. We recommend fixing
the machine in stationary position. Thus it would
be possible to use both hands for convenient
and safe assembly.
3. Press the spindle lock button (29) and ro-
tate the diamond disc (31) by hand clockwise
until the button sinks and locks the spindle (25)
movement. Remove the tightening nut (28) us-
ing the special spanner (30). After removing the
nut ensure that the button (29) has returned in
its initial position and does not lock the spindle
(25) movement. In case the button (29) still locks
the spindle (25) rotate the spindle by hand until
the button has been released and returned in its
initial position.
4. Remove the diamond disc (31) and flange
(26).
5. Clean the accessories for operation with
the diamond disc and store them for future use.
6. Follow steps 4 - 18 from section „Mounting
the diamond disc".
