There are two ways to start PIP operations, by using Mode -> Customize Mode, or by using
Config -> Mode Config -> PIP.
To start PIP operations and configure USB1 as the sub-image and CV3 as the main image, do the
following:
1. Click the Mode tab.
2. Click the Customize Mode tab.
3. Click on the first button to the left under Sub Image and select USB1from the drop down box.
The button turns green and the image from USB1 shows as the sub-image.
4. Click on the second button from the left under Main Image and select CV3 from the drop down
box. The button turns green and the image from CV3 shows as the main-image.
The size and position of each image can be adjusted by entering values into the X, Y, Width, and
Height fields for each image. Those fields are located under the selection buttons.
To exit PIP mode, do the following:
1. Click the Config tab,
2. Click the Mode Config button.
3. Click the Normal tab. The out screen returns to a single image.
SCALE settings made for the main image in PIP mode remain in effect after PIP mode is
exited.
To set up a soft edged wipe transition that moves from left to right at a speed of 2 seconds and is 10
pixels wide, do the following:
1. Click the Mode tab.
2. Click the Effect tab.
3. Click the first icon in middle left row (mouse over will show WIPE Right Soft.
4. Drop the cursor in the box to the right of the Wipe Switch Speed fader and enter 2.
5. Drop the cursor in the box to the right of the Transparent Bar Width fader and enter 10.
To switch the live output from input sources 2 to Input source VGA4, do the following:
1. Click the Mode tab.
2. Click the Switch Mode tab.
3. Click the preview button for the image to go onto the live screen.
4. Press <TAKE>. The image on the live screen transitions to the preview monitor and the image
from the preview monitor transitions to the live screen. The live screen transition will be a fade or
wipe depending on the transition settings.
