Safety rules for using the charger


Make sure the charger and its power cord are intact before charging;

Use power cord the matches the charger;

Do not charge in a humid environment, near open fire, in presence of flammable materials or
flammable gases to avoid explosion;

Safety rules for using battery


If the tool is not in use for long term, the battery must be removed from the tool;

Never charge a damaged battery and/or contaminated or damp battery;

Do not throw the battery into water or fire in any time, do not discard the battery at will;

Do not charge when the environment temperature is lower than 0°C or higher than 45°C;

Maintenance and repair

7.1

Maintenance


Only have the rivet tool serviced when it's necessary.
Worn nose pieces and nose housings must be replaced (refer to key point 3.1).

Regular maintenance can extend life of high quality "Degometal" Lithium-ion tool.
Maintenance of the tool should be carried out by approved maintenance workshop or
Degometal service center at least once two years.
If the tool is used frequently, maintenance with shorted interval is recommended.
7.2

Repair

In principle, manufacturer should be responsible for warranty.
If warranty has been expired, maintenance should be done only by professionals.
If rules for installation and adjustment are obeyed, or the tool is not used a proper way,
the rivet tool may be damaged seriously.
If there are any problems, please mail the tool to Degometal company, the provider.

Environmental protection

If the battery must be replaced, please follow rules below:

Please returned the used Degometal battery to the provider Degometal company.

Never discard the used battery in trash can, never throw it into fire or water!

Troubleshooting

9.1

rivet nut cannot be pre-screwed

Rivet nut thread damage
Mandrel is damaged
The rivet nut is not fixed to nose piece
Troubleshooting
Use a new rivet nut
Replace mandrel (refer to key point 3.1)
The length of mandrel is incorrect; adjust according
to the length of the rivet nut (refer to key point 3.2)
