Changing the tool.
Before mounting or replacing cutting tool or accessories, pull the power plug.
WARNING
This preventive safety measure rules out the danger of injuries through acci-
dental starting of the power tool.
For all work or when changing
CAUTION
application tools, always wear
protective gloves. Danger of injury from the
sharp edges of the application tools. Applica-
tion tools can become very hot while work-
ing. Danger of burns!
The application tool can be offset in 30° steps
and fastened in the most favorable working
position.
When changing application
CAUTION
tools with sharp cutting
edges, use cover 3 21 74 011 00 0 to protect
yourself against hand injuries.
Mounting or replacing a sanding sheet
(figure 4).
The sanding pad (round or triangle-poli-
gon) or the carbide rasp can be fastened
on the drive shaft at the suitable position. An
adapter is required for working with the sand-
ing pad.
Align the sanding sheet and press it manually
against the sanding pad.
Firmly press the power tool with the sanding
sheet against a flat surface and briefly switch
the power tool on. This provides for good
adhesion and prevents premature wear.
When only one tip or corner of the sanding
sheet is worn, it can be removed again and
reattached turned by 120°.
Before using, sharpen used and even new cut-
ter blades with a sharpening stone.
The symptom for worn blades is a clearly
increased feed force at lower working prog-
ress.
Protect your hand and fingers
CAUTION
against bruising when locking
the clamping lever. The clamping lever snaps
back vigorously by means of spring force.
