Adjusting the bass and treble
To help you get the sound you want you can
increase or reduce the bass and treble.
• You can't use the bass and treble
controls together with the Midnight or
Quiet modes (see below).
• When using bass and treble controls
with DVD-Audio or SACD sources, only
the front left/right and subwoofer
channels are affected.
• You can't use the bass and treble
controls when playing 96 kHz PCM
sources.

(cursor left/right)

buttons to select 'Bass' or 'Treble'.

Use the
(cursor up/down)
/
buttons to adjust the sound.
The bass and treble can be adjusted from
–3 to +3.

Press ENTER to exit.
Boosting the bass level
If you want to bring up the low end for
certain kinds of music or sound sources,
switch on P .Bass.
• You can't use P .Bass together with the
Midnight or Quiet modes (see below), or
when headphones are connected.

buttons to select 'On' or 'Off'.

Quiet / Midnight listening
The Quiet and Midnight listening modes
allow you to hear effective surround sound of
movies at low volume levels. The effect
automatically adjusts according to the
volume at which you're listening.
• You can't use Quiet/Midnight with 96kHz
PCM, DVD-Audio or SACD sources.

'Quiet Mode'.

Muting the sound
Use the MUTE button if you need to momen-
tarily turn off any sound coming out of the
speakers.
•
Press MUTE to switch off the volume.
To switch the sound back on, adjust the
volume or press MUTE again.
