4. DRIVER BOX MOUNTING (CONT.)
Wood Frame
Mount the driver box to the wood framing channels from which the fan is hung using two bolts, four washers, and
two nuts. The hardware must be 1/4-20 or greater. The driver box can also be mounted to two angle irons installed
between the joists as shown on the previous page.
Solid Beam
Mount the driver box to the side of the beam using four wood screws (minimum 1.5 in. [38.1 mm] long) and four
washers (wood beam) or four bolts, eight washers, and four nuts (metal beam). The hardware must be 1/4-20 or
greater. Wood beam and wood screws shown.
