Raise mast/column assembly by lifting
forks while simultaneously driving fork-
lift forward slowly and incrementally.
While raising the mast/column assembly
to the upright position, a second person
should use the tagline to guide the boom
and prevent it from swinging around.
Keep straps taut by edging forward ahead
of lifting so that if straps slip, they will slide
ONTO the forks further rather than off of
the forks.
As assembly is raised to the upright
position, maintain tension on the straps.
Position the assembly as fully upright as
possible before lifting it off the ground.
This will prevent the assembly from being
loaded with enough potential energy to
send it swinging into the forklift body.
Caution: A second person should help
stabilize and orient the mast/column as-
sembly and boom, but must stay clear
of any potential danger.
