The AS-Interface valve terminal type CPA...-ASI... is de-
signed exclusively for controlling pneumatic actuators and
may only be used in bus systems as agreed in the AS-Inter-
face specifications. The specified limit values for pres-
sures, temperatures, electrical data, torques etc. must be
observed.
AS-Interface bus systems and valve terminals may only be
installed by specially qualified personnel. Detailed specifi-
cations on the concept and addressing of the AS-Interface
bus system can be found in the manual for the AS-Inter-
face master.
Detailed information on the pneumatic components of the
valve terminal can be found in the pneumatics manual
type P.BE-CPA-....
Warning
S Use only power units which guarantee reliable
isolation of the operating voltages as per IEC 742/
EN 60742/VDE 0551 with at least 4 kV isolation
resistance (Protected Extra Low Voltage PELV).
Switch power packs are permitted, providing they
guarantee reliable isolation in accordance with
EN 60950/VDE 0805.
S Switch off the power supply before connecting or
disconnecting plugs (otherwise functioning may be
impaired).
S Connect the functional earth connection of the valve
terminal with low impedance (short cable with big
cross section) to the earth potential.
S Commission only a valve terminal which is completely
fitted and wired.
