INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR MCMURDO
SMARTFIND S20 SRS
ABOUT THE S20 SRS
The S20 is design to be integrated with an inflatable PFD to be
activated by the force of inflation. The S20 can be attached to the
right side of the EP 38 Inflatable Vest, clipping onto the safety whistle
attachment strap. The red cap on the S20 will be pulled off during
inflation, releasing the antenna and activating the device. For further
information refer to the S20 User Manual.
INTEGRATING THE S20 SRS TO THE EP 38 INFLATABLE VEST:
• The S20 comes out of the box ready for manual activation only.
This means the orange lanyard will be tied to the white section of
the S20 (Fig. 1). To allow for the S20 to be activated by inflation,
undo this knot so the long lanyard hangs lose from the red cap
• Pull out the orange arming tab by slightly lifting up the end of
the tab (the side with the engraved arrows) and sliding it in the
direction of the arrows. The white section of the S20 should now
read "ARMED" (Fig. 1)
• Ensure that the webbing clip is attached to the back of the S20.
