receiving eye on front of your HiFi- or other equipment. Normally this area can be identified by a
smoked or dark plastic window. Remove the small paper protective label and affix the emitter very
lightly on the facia of your equipment.
Now take your SpeakerLink 65 Remote to another room, select the device, e.g. SAT, and press
CHANNEL +/-. Now the channel should change. If not, go back to the transmitter and move the
adhesive emitter. The position sometimes is critical. Once satisfied press the emitter firmly on the
surface (this will not damage your equipment). If you have problems with the range, try to move
the transmitter away from your connected equipment. This can greatly improve performance of
the radio transmission.
You can use the second and third emitter eye for controlling a second or third device. If you don't
use the second or third emitter eye, never remove them!
6 CONTROLLING PC FUNCTIONS
The SpeakerLink 65 remote can also control an MP3, DVD, and CD player in your PC when used
with an additional MP3 receiver and software. You will need to purchase an MP3 receiver (art. nr.
09255) which connects to your PC's serial port. Download the software (called Boom) from the
Marmitek website (www.marmitek.com). You will then be able to control a DVD or CD player in
your PC as well as being able to control MP3 players such as MusicMatch, RealJukeBox, WinAmp,
etc., remotely from anywhere inside or outside your home.
The AUDIO button is also a PC button. To access your PC you just press AUDIO (PC) followed by
button 1 (MP3) or button 2 (DVD) or button 3 (CD). You can now use buttons such as Play, Stop,
Pause, FF, REW, etc. to control the DVD, CD, or MP3 player in your PC.
When used in conjunction with the SpeakerLink 65 Audio Transmitter, and SpeakerLink 65 Audio
Receiver/Speaker Driver, you will be able to listen to MP3 files stored in your PC while sitting outside
having a barbecue.
Pressing AUDIO (PC) followed by 1 (MP3), 2 (DVD) or 3 (CD) gives access to your PC when used with
the optional MP3 receiver and Boom software.
