18. Check regularly that all screws are properly secured. Check the cutting blades regularly and, in
case of damage, have them repaired or exchanged by an authorized service centre.
19. Make yourself familiar with your working area and be alert for possible hazards, which you
might not hear due to the motor noise.
20. Never touch or grasp the unprotected blades and never carry the machine taking hold of the
blades.
21. When the hedge trimmer is not in use, for transport or storage, keep it in a dry place and out of
the reach of children, and have the cutting blades always inserted into the protection cover.
22. Only use original spare parts and accessories supplied with the machine or recommended by the
manufacturer.
23. Remain aware and remain cautious about foreign objects like wire fences, which may damage
the cutting blades. Thoroughly inspect the working area where the machine is to be used and
remove all wires and any other foreign objects likely to pose a hazard.
Only work in daylight or in good artificial light.
24. Stay alert
Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate tool when you are tired, under the
influence of alcohol, prescription medicines or drugs

The operator and/or user must use common sense and caution when operating the product
especially for any matters that are not referred in the above
29. Important: Switch off and unplug the hedge trimmer immediately upon occurrence of any of

- Sparks on the brushes with smoke coming out of the collector.
- Deterioration of the power cord or switch.
- If smoke or if burnt smell appears.
- If blades get blocked.

malfunction has not been discovered and repaired.
- The cutter blades should always be replaced in pairs.
Note: If you notice sparks when you release the switch, in the area of the upper ventilation slots,
that is part of the normal operation of the hedge trimmer and is not a default
